I have almost lived in my Kansas City apartment for a year now! I can’t believe how fast this past year has flown by and how much has happened in a year! When I first moved up to KC, it was all pretty much a blur. I decided I needed to move to kill my commute time and within a week I had found an apartment and was starting to prep for the huge undertaking of actually moving to a new city. I bought a few things for my new apartment, but honestly never really dedicated any time or funds to actually decorating my new home. Now, a year in, I think it is finally time to really make Kansas City my home.
I have gone back and forth on decor styles (I have a ton of preppy eclectic Pinterest boards) and never was really able to pin down how I want my home to look. I always think that I want it to be crazy cool or super preppy or some really perfectly styled home. But when it comes down to it, I have realized that my decor style isn’t crazy at all. I find that whenever I go shopping for home decor, I always stick with gray, white, or blue and that my general style is farmhouse glam.
I like classic neutral colors mixed with barely there metallics. I love laid back living rooms that just invite you in and beds that never look too perfectly made.
I am so excited to start really making my apartment my home and I can’t wait to show you guys every step along the way!
I plan to do most of my shopping at Wayfair and Target. Here are some of the pieces on my radar!
