I have taken a week or so (maybe more) off from my blog and really thought about where I want this thing to go and how I can get it there. I sometimes get so caught up in the social media aspect that I lose a little bit of the actual writing aspect that I love. After taking some time to reposition myself with Classy & Confused, I am excited to announce that some changes will be coming. I have a few collaborations that are in the works that I just can’t wait to share with you! And I have a few new ideas for posts that I am surprisingly really passionate about writing. Sometime in March, I plan to give my whole website layout a mini facelift… So, be on the lookout for some new stuff and some wonderful changes.
Here is what you can expect:
I have been wanting to add some recipes to my blog but just have never actually taken the time to create a place/posts for them. Expect a lot of salad recipes to come (I love salads). Also, expect more cocktails. A lot more cocktails.
I’ve decided to add a wellness section to Classy & Confused. I never ever thought I would be at a point in my life where I would feel like I could speak to wellness and fitness, but I think that time is coming. I am definitely still on a journey to where I want to be health and fitness wise, but I would love to share that journey with you. I also have some awesome wellness collaborations coming and I know you will find so much value from what these women have to say.
I have a little section at the bottom of my website that links to my Goodreads account so you can check out what I am reading. I want to give you waaaaay more than that though! I am going to add in some great book/movie/tv show reviews and recommendations and I hope it will help spark a conversation between us. I love getting a good book rec and am always ready to be told what to read next!
I love Kansas City. I am just absolutely so in love with this city and I want to share it with everyone! I have decided to partner with a few of my favorite KC places to bring you a weekly spotlight of some cool places you should check out. Also, I just really love supporting small businesses and this feels like a wonderful way to do so.
I have stressed over and over again that I am practicing this idea of joy seeking minimalism that I somewhat am making up as I go. And as I have said many times, part of that is pushing myself to remove stupid filler stuff. Whether that filler be clothes I don’t wear, books I don’t read, friendships that aren’t working, or sub-par content, I want to get down to just the good stuff. With that being said, I am making a promise to you and to myself to be 100% real on this blog and not give you a bunch of junk. I’m not going to pretend to be someone I am not on here. I see so many bloggers who look totally perfect and sometimes it really gets me down because I am nowhere near that perfect of a person. It has taken a long time for me to really realize that a picture is just a picture and there is so much going on behind the scenes that you don’t see. I want to include more of the realness and less of the faux perfection.
So, be on the lookout for the changes and let me know if you feel like anything is missing. I would love to have your feedback.
Always Classy & Confused,
