I’m definitely not the best cook ever, but I can poach an egg!!

As a lazy cook who just can’t afford to grab takeout every night, I have had to become a master of quick and easy meals. This microwaved poached egg might just be the easiest of them all!! And it also happens to be my first blog recipe!

Okay, so to get some bomb toast and eggs, you are gonna need a toaster, a coffee cup, and a microwave. Also eggs and bread, but duh.

Make your toast just like normal and then set it out on your plate.

Take your coffee cup and fill it up 1/3 of the way with water.

Then go ahead and crack an egg into it. Make sure you don’t break the yolk!

Microwave the cup (with the egg in it) for about 1 min and 25ish seconds. All microwaves are different though, so I would start with a minute and go from there. When the egg is done, it should be totally white and look like a poached egg. You don’t want to overcook it though, because your yolk won’t be runny!

Take your poached egg out of the cup gently with a spoon. I have found that the bigger spoon you use, the better!

Carefully place your egg on your toast and garnish with whatever you want!! I used bacon bits, siracha mayo, and Trader Joe’s Everything But The Bagel seasoning, which is AWESOME!

And there you have it!! An fancy poached egg you made in your microwave!

Enjoy!!

Let me know what toppings you use, I’m always open to new suggestions!

Always Classy & Confused,
